What is SoGEA?
SOGEA stands for Single Order Generic Ethernet Access. It enables Cloud Central to order broadband without a phone line – so you’ve got everything you need within a single order.
Up until now, to deliver broadband to a home or office, you needed to have a traditional phone line installed and then ADSL Broadband or Fibre Broadband provided on top of it.
BT Openreach are now delivering a single order version of Fibre Broadband and GFast Fibre Broadband that means you do not have to install a traditional analogue phone line. BT are no longer installing analogue and ISDN lines as part of the PSTN & ISDN switch-off in 2025. This new ethernet based service not only delivers super fast speeds – it also future-proofs your business moving forwards.
