The Big ISDN PSTN Switch Off
Act now to prevent losing your telephone numbers
Make the switch before 2025
BT has announced they will shut off their ISDN and PSTN services. BT no longer offer businesses the ability to acquire ISDN and PSTN lines, with the total switch off occurring in 2025. The switch off has already started to take place in many areas of the country.
The BT 2025 switch-off will have a massive impact on all businesses currently operating ISDN or PSTN lines.
42% of SMEs still use analogue lines to communicate and transmit data. That’s around 2.4 million businesses. Essentially, there are still a large number of British companies reliant on fixed landlines for communications and data. If your telephone numbers or fax numbers is important to you and you send data through landlines i.e. (broadband) then the BT Switch Off will likely have consequences for your business.
